Commercial Executive (Hybrid) London Based French Wine Producer

Fantastic opportunity to move into a commercial role in the drinks industry. Our client is a highly respected producer of wines primarily from Burgundy but they also have have sites throughout France so can work across a wide range of products.

They have a UK sales based team already, and  are now looking for a bright, articulate and ambitious person to support them on all marketing and sales activities, and in turn work with an amazing portfolio of wines with excellent exposure to both Off and On Trade channels.

Key Functions

  • To be the UK based link between our administration teams in France and external partners to ensure smooth communication between all parties.
  • Understand and being the “go to” expert in customer web based portals.
  • Assisting the French technical teams to ensure that all customer portals are proactively up to date and correct.
  • Work with the account managers on key tasks including;
  • Account forecasting process using knowledge of the customer and promotional patterns to accurately support the needs of the business.
  • Range reviews and customer tenders
  • Review the performance of all existing products and NPD within each retailer’s range against an agreed set of KPI’s.
  • Research and aid in the preparation of presentations for customer meetings.
  • Liaise closely with our external partner teams to ensure smooth communication between them and our customers.
  • Provision of financial sales & budgetary figures. Creation and management of budgetary data to enable the commercial team to develop support packages.
  • To support our customers in the administration of the ranges and to manage our systems and processes;
  • Manage all sample requests from start to finish
  • Be key point of contact for customer administration team to answer day to day queries of the account.
  • To provide monthly reports to account teams Update actual sales vs forecast sales every month and keep the account managers aware of any major over / under performances.
  • There will also be a degree of consumer interaction. Such as
  • Assisting in UK consumer research program
  • From time to time there will be a need to attend customer/ consumer tastings.
  • There also be a need to build relationships with the UK trade press to ensure our products are featured regularly where appropriate.

 

Knowledge / Experience / Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages specifically Excel & PowerPoint
  • Good organisational skills and able work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French (preferable but but not compulsory)
  • Good Communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ideally have experience in FMCG sector
  • Strong passion for wine & interest in developing wine knowledge
  • Minimum A Level or equivalent education
  • WSET level 2 – 3 an advantage

 

Remuneration: Base Salary £27 – £30k per annum plus benefits…

Reporting to: UK Director

Full Time Role based in West London with some flexibility to WFH
