The postholder is responsible for the strategical and operational day-to-day running of a portfolio of wine producers and brands. The BM will be responsible for the planning and the implementation of the brand and sales plans as well as the supplier management of its portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with brand owners to drive the strategic direction of brands and support their performance.
  • Plan and implement agreed sales and marketing strategies to deliver against set volume target, brand vision and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure brand activities are implemented timely, successfully and in line with agreed brand objectives, strategies, and budgets.
  • Maintain all brand collaterals libraries.
  • Maintain (or create when necessary) solid sales tools and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Organise travel arrangements for principles and co-ordinate market visits.
  • Organise customer trips as required.
  • Report on brand performance to cascade down to brand owners and sales team.
  • Identify and create new sales opportunities based on thorough sales analysis.
  • Ensure timely entries of competitions entries and tender entries.
  • Manage existing POS range and stock and create new POS items where relevant.
  • Ensure that channel strategies are respected.
  • By monitoring and reporting on key metrics, ie volume, stock level and A&P, make sure that brands are on track to achieve objectives and recommend corrective action when necessary.
  • Win hearts and minds, effectively building credentials and reputation of brands under remit with the Sales team and trade.
  • Be the face of the brand, attend and represent the brands at tastings, trade and consumer events, competitions, promotions.
