Regional (London) Sales Manager, UK premium wine specialist
Job Purpose & Scope
- The focus of this role will be managing key distributor/wholesaler accounts at a head office level and in the trade, working alongside their sales teams to promote and develop the distribution of wine brands in the on-trade.
- This will involve developing distribution by following up leads, prospecting, development of existing accounts, supporting events, wine training, and effective networking.
- Also vital to this role is the ability to work in collaboration with the UK on-trade regional team and to ensure effective management of the dynamics of working with competing wholesalers in the market.
Key skills
- A background in sales in the wine industry.
- Wine knowledge to a high standard – WSET Advanced or Diploma.
- Strong passion and ability to sell premium wine.
- Knowledge and experience of selling to the on-trade will be an advantage.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to manage time effectively and hit deadlines.
- Self-motivated with ability to work in a team environment.
- A very effective communicator.
